The Oyster Perpetual Submariner in Oystersteel with a Cerachrom bezel insert in blue ceramic and a blue dial with large luminescent hour markers is equipped with a rotating bezel, designed for divers to track elapsed dive time, parachrom hairspring, making it resistant to magnetic fields and temperature changes, and the Paraflex shock absorbers add resistance to shocks. 2.5x magnification under the cyclops lens enhances legibility in low light and underwater with water resistance up to 300m (1000ft).

Submariner watches epitomize the historic link between Rolex and the world of underwater exploration.Created in 1953, the Oyster Perpetual Submariner was the first divers’ wristwatch waterproof to a depth of 330 feet (100 meters). In 1969, the Submariner Date was unveiled. The waterproofness of both models was later increased to 1,000 feet (300 meters). Thanks to their renowned robustness, functionality and aesthetics, they have become the benchmark for divers’ watches.
